THE ELECTIONS INSIDE ME

This poem is based on the re-written Bath Soak label. While having a bath I was thinking about the elections in America and the way I will one day tell my daughters about it. Obama was re-elected. I began to re-order the words of Bath Soak label and I suddenly felt they were reflecting on the current political situation in England (crises). Notes-Elswick is the social estate in Newcastle (UK) where I currently reside with my family. It was built in the 60s and it has been serving the working class people until now.

No Eastern Spirit

No bath soak

No rejuvenating noblend,

Without an oriental lotus

No flower

No orange blossom

(I made this drawing thinking whether I will be worried if I decide to have a mixed race child. I was scared of racism. Now that I have two daughters we are facing it).
